University of Scouting

If you’ve signed up for the University of Scouting and are travelling with the group, please be at the church by 05:45 so that we can leave by 06:00. We need to be in Gainesville as close to 07:30 as we can.

  • Make sure to eat breakfast!
  • Bring paper & pencil.
  • Bring a small pack to carry papers, etc.
  • It’s scheduled to last until 17:00 (5:00 PM) so bring a few extra bucks for a snack on the way home.

Souper Bowl of Caring

Alright Scouts.. The Village Church is holding their annual Souper Bowl of Caring the next two Sundays. They are collecting Soup: canned soup, boxed soup, soup mixes, noodles for soup etc, as well as cash donations for Second Harvest food bank.

There will be two containers to place your donations into: The GIANTS or the PATRIOTS.

So I figured let’s do a little competition between the Patrols. For the Patrol that brings in the most canned food items on 26th, gets to pick which container to place all the donations into. We will do it again on the 2nd. So you have two chances to win, but the ultimate winner will be the food bank.
