Summer Camp 2012 Payment Schedule

There was some confusion last night about Summer Camp payments.

The first payment of $150 was due last night, I know that we didn’t send out a reminder, but we absolutely need it by next week (March 1st) in order to reserve spots!

The second and final payment of $135 is due on April 26th.

There will most likely be a transportation fee as well, but we’ve yet to determine the amount.

If you need assistance with camp fees, please let an adult leader know. We will not let a scout miss camp for monetary reasons!

Scout Sunday 2012

We will be observing Scout Sunday this Sunday (2/12) at The Village Church. We would like to have all scouts attend if they are able to, parents are welcome too.

Please wear full Class A uniforms and arrive no later than 10:30am.

BSA Birthday – Wear your uniform to school day.

Tomorrow (February 8th) is the birthday of the BSA! In celebration, many units have decided to wear their Class A uniforms to school. So if you’re willing, then wear your Class A to school tomorrow with pride!

University of Scouting

If you’ve signed up for the University of Scouting and are travelling with the group, please be at the church by 05:45 so that we can leave by 06:00. We need to be in Gainesville as close to 07:30 as we can.

  • Make sure to eat breakfast!
  • Bring paper & pencil.
  • Bring a small pack to carry papers, etc.
  • It’s scheduled to last until 17:00 (5:00 PM) so bring a few extra bucks for a snack on the way home.

Souper Bowl of Caring

Alright Scouts.. The Village Church is holding their annual Souper Bowl of Caring the next two Sundays. They are collecting Soup: canned soup, boxed soup, soup mixes, noodles for soup etc, as well as cash donations for Second Harvest food bank.

There will be two containers to place your donations into: The GIANTS or the PATRIOTS.

So I figured let’s do a little competition between the Patrols. For the Patrol that brings in the most canned food items on 26th, gets to pick which container to place all the donations into. We will do it again on the 2nd. So you have two chances to win, but the ultimate winner will be the food bank.
